Baptist Downtown is currently seeking a full-time Construction Manager to work in our Plant Facilities Department. The selected candidate will be creative individual who can handle a high volume healthcare facility. General Job Summary: This position will be expected to manage small and medium construction and renovation projects and assist in the management of large projects. Management will include estimating projects and change orders, coordination with hospital managers and governmental agencies. Duties will include management of project costs and accounting for projects and change orders. Duties will also include managing cost and quality through familiarity with prints and specifications, and development of Baptist Health specifications. Other duties as assigned may include non-construction management activities. Typical Physical Demands: Requires the ability to move about the facilities regularly. Must have a full range of body motion for the purpose of moving, lifting or handling up to 70 pounds. Often works in awkward positions. Considerable physical demands required. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Requires Bachelor's degree in a construction related field; 3+ years managing healthcare construction projects, new and renovation; capable of managing contract, finance, change orders, design process, permitting, mechanical/electrical, and structural projects; and previous management experience in human resources, construction projects over $20 million, and design process. General contractor's license preferred.
